The Maná Christian Foundation was born to contribute to a lost cause: that man be truly neighbor to man, and that the children of man can live in a habitable and sustainable earth where no one goes hungry for bread, peace and culture, and where no one dies without ever having been happy. We are a non-governmental, non-profit organization, emerged in the other Banda de Higuey due to the awareness and solidarity in the face of the conditions of poverty and deep inequality observed both within the framework of Dominican society and in the most impoverished regions of the world. A balance of this work time results in the support of nearly 250 development aid projects in impoverished “eastern” countries and a permanent and consolidated commitment to countless initiatives and social activities in our environment. » In these years of life we ​​have shared the hope of the development of thousands of most disadvantaged human beings in situations of extreme need, such as in the most vulnerable areas and social sectors of our society. The contribution of the Maná Christian Foundation to the maximum desire to build another more just and peaceful world is modest and limited, but without a doubt valuable and necessary. As Eduardo Galeano would say “utopia is on the horizon, for every step we get closer the horizon will be one step further away, no matter how far we walk towards it we will never reach it. But despite everything it will have served us for something: to walk.” The Maná Christian Foundation will continue walking to forge a tomorrow of new horizons. We know that the Foundation will remain, because it responds to an inextinguishable desire for humanism and love. And on the foundations that we are laying together, others will build a Better world.
